Dr. Elesia Glover

While living and working in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Elesia Glover, Walden alumna, founded Posh Pack, a nonprofit dedicated to providing feminine hygiene essentials to students and working to educate elected officials and the public on the importance of alleviating period poverty. “I saw that one in five girls in the U.S. misses school time because of lack of access to feminine hygiene products,” Dr. Glover said.

“It ran the spectrum of ages from elementary to high school.” Since its founding in 2018, Posh Pack has been bridging the gap in support and advocacy by providing thousands of period products each year to schools in Georgia, North Carolina, Florida and Virginia. Dr. Glover’s commitment to positive social impact has grown as she continues to increase Posh Pack’s reach.

Dr. Destry Dokes
Dr. Destry Dokes is a visionary leader in education and workforce development. As the President/CEO of DokesPartners, LLC and Provost at San Jacinto College, he has made a significant impact on organizational leadership and operational excellence. With a Doctorate in Business Administration from Walden University, Dr. Dokes is an expert in driving workplace engagement, leadership development, and empathy as key performance tools.

His achievements include numerous leadership awards and recognition for his commitment to professional and community growth. Dr. Dokes continues to inspire leaders across multiple sectors.

Dr. Xellex Z. Rivera
Dr. Xellex Z. Rivera, also known as “Dr. X”, is a native of the Bronx, New York, and a graduate of Manhattan College with a double master’s degree in counseling and mental health counseling. A proud HBCU (historically Black college or university) graduate, Dr. Rivera attended Livingstone College, majoring in liberal arts and English. Initially, with the dream of becoming a journalist, Dr. Rivera quickly realized her life calling was going in another direction. In 2019, she earned her third master’s, a Master of Philosophy in human and social services, and in 2020, completed her Ph.D. in human services, both at Walden University. Featured in Forbes Women and on the Bronx Network, her dissertation, Experiences of Long-Term Stay Among Homeless Millennials in New York City Shelters, explored the experiences of long-term stay millennials, 25 to 34 years of age, residing in single adult New York City (NYC) shelters to understand how they explain and interpret their extended stays.

As one of the youngest C-suite non-profit executives in NYC, Dr. Rivera is currently the chief program officer for the Housing Solutions of New York (formerly known as Bronx Parent Housing Network, Inc.). Her primary clients are families with children who are experiencing homelessness, as well as being severely mentally ill or drug-addicted.

Dr. Myriam E. Seay
Dr. Myriam E. Seay is a visionary leader in federal service, currently serving as the Chief of Information Technology at the Headquarters Air Force COOP Directorate. A Walden University alumna and Board member, Dr. Seay oversees critical IT operations and strategic planning for contingency management.

Her leadership has earned her numerous accolades, including the Department of Defense Spirit of Service Award. Committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, Dr. Seay actively advocates for workforce development and organizational culture improvements, making her a true leader in both technology and public service

Dr. Jacinto A. Ramos, Jr
Dr. Jacinto A. Ramos, Jr. is a nationally recognized leader in educational policy, equity, and governance. As the former Chair of the Council of Urban Boards of Education (CUBE) and past President of the Mexican American School Boards Association, he has dedicated his career to addressing the unique challenges facing urban and Latinx students.

A product of immigrant parents, Dr. Ramos has spent years advocating for disenfranchised youth and promoting diversity in education. His leadership extends to the Fort Worth ISD, where he became the youngest board president.

Dr. Shagranda Moch Traveler is a strategic corporate executive with two decades of expertise in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I), global workforce development, and organizational change. As the Global Head of Culture, Communications, and Employee Engagement at Citi’s ISG Operations, she drives initiatives that shape corporate culture. Named a 2022 Great Woman of Texas and recipient of multiple leadership awards, Dr. Traveler's dedication extends beyond the corporate realm through her active involvement in community service and education. Her passion for excellence and advocacy is unmatched.
