The purpose of this course is to assist doctoral students in progressing toward completion of the DrPH degree. The course focuses on the early stages of the doctoral capstone study and process. Students engage in activities such as identifying a public health problem and the population it affects, reviewing recent literature to identify a meaningful public health service gap within the chosen community or population, and analyzing the Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) that influence this health problem. Students begin to write their doctoral capstone.
