SKIL 8001 - Transitioning from Masters to Doctoral Writing (0 credits)

In this 6-week course, students transitioning from master’s to doctoral writing learn how to critically read and evaluate sources, apply critical thinking to their own writing, synthesize information, and develop their scholarly voice. Students demonstrate their scholarly writing skills by developing a brief research paper in which they synthesize multiple peer-reviewed articles. Students also receive instruction in APA citations and references, style and mechanics, and paraphrasing via course learning modules.
