By participating in a Walden Pre-Practicum, you gain skills in your development as a scholar-practitioner. Through your Pre-Practicum experiences, you expand your network of peers and faculty members while you develop your professional skills and identity. In Pre-Practicum 1, you begin to apply the core skills and techniques introduced in your Techniques course. You also continue to develop the multicultural competencies needed for counseling. This course includes a synchronous experience as per program requirements. You will receive specific information about your upcoming field experience and credentialing.
