(5 credits)

In this Doctoral Project course, students will demonstrate their expertise by proposing strategies and recommendations to solve real-world healthcare administration problems. Throughout the program, students have studied and researched a health services organization that will serve as the basis of the DHA project. Using content and integrative review skills learned in previous coursework, students will select one organizational challenge to target for practical strategies and solutions. In this course, students will work with a project mentor to identify and justify a meaningful and significant organizational problem using the existing body of knowledge in the field. In addition, students will conduct an exhaustive literature review and use empirical and non-empirical quality appraisal tools to evaluate sources for use in answering the integrative review question.
