How to Renew or Upgrade Credentials
Renewal: Educators must complete 36 hours of professional development that must include specific topics designated by the Arkansas Department of Education. These are usually completed within the school district, but may be completed separately if approved by ADE. Educators should consult the current ADE Rules Governing Professional Development document for more information.
Upgrade: Educators may add a degree to a current educator license through the online application process. Official transcripts are required. The degree should be in a field related to the existing license as defined by ADE.
